Festive card designs 2013

'Festive Cheer' Christmas card

'Mulled Wine' Christmas card

Here's introducing two new Christmas card designs for 2013!  'Festive Cheer' hand printed in red and bright green inks onto 100% recycled grey card, with a red envelope.  Followed by 'Mulled Wine' in plum and a minty green, printed onto thick recycled white card with a pale blue envelope.  I've challenged myself to design characters this year, something I've really enjoyed and hope to do more of soon.

Both designs are available in my Etsy and Not on the High Street shops now, individually or in a pack of five.

Coasters!

'Coffee' hand printed coaster set

'Tiki' hand printed coaster set
Introducing two new sets of drinks coasters!

I've reworked my original 'Coffee' coasters and produced a vibrant new set in red, yellow, green and blue.  Great for fellow primary colour lovers!  Alongside these I've created a new coaster set with a Polynesian theme.  The 'Tiki' coaster set is something I've designed to go alongside my work for the current Girls Who Draw Masquerade exhibition in Leeds, for which I created two Tiki themed screen prints (both will be available online shortly).

Both new sets of coasters are available now in Etsy and NOTHS shops!

Tiny Pencil zine issue 2.0

3 zines in 1! Martian, Monster and Mammal.

A fantastic box design by the tres talented Kristyna Baczynski.

Super zine covers by Eleanor Taylor.

My pages in the new zine.
A couple of months back I was invited to take part in the second issue of a zine called Tiny Pencil.  The brief- using only pencil and one colour create a fun activity or comic with the theme of mammal, martian or monster.  I picked the martian option and drew a number of moons.  The mustard spot colour used in the martian zine is one of my favourite colours, mmm mustard moons!

Tiny Pencil issue 2.0 is a set of three top notch zines packaged in a neat box full of stickers, fact cards, colouring pencils and dice.  Its packed full of amazing artwork by lots of amazing artists and illustrators.  To get hold of a copy head on over to the Tiny Pencil website.

There is a new interview with me up on the Tiny Pencil blog too, you can find that here!

Masquerade postcard book

I have a supply of Masquerade postcard books by the Girls Who Draw now available in my Etsy and Not on the High Street shops.  The book contains 24 colourful postcards all with a different take on the theme of Masquerade.  12 female illustrators from across the UK have each designed 2 postcards.

Grab a copy while you can!

The Masquerade exhibition is now installed at the Bowery Arts Centre in Leeds, and will be on display until 15th November this year.  You can see some quick photos I took of the show over on my Facebook page.

Girls Who Draw Masquerade exhibition

Tomorrow morning I am going to Leeds to help set up the new Masquerade exhibition by the Girls Who Draw.  The show will feature work by a number of us who have contributed to a new postcard book of the same theme.  At the private view on Friday the postcard book will be launched,  I will have copies of this available in my online shops from next week.

My take on the masquerade theme focuses on tiki imagery, I've created two new A4 screen prints and a set of drinks coasters.  I'm all packed and ready for an early night before a busy day hanging the exhibition!  Photos to follow soon!

Exhibiting and printing

Here's a couple of images of my table at 'An Oasis in the City' in Bowdon on Saturday.  I met some great people and ate the most amazing banoffi ice cream I've ever had!  It was nice to receive positive feedback on my new products too.  Talking of which below are a couple of quick photos of my new Pattern notebooks...

These are printed onto 100% recycled card, with recycled blank pages inside.  They come packaged in a biodegradable sleeve.  Available in my online shops soon!

Screen printing D I Y

In the last week I've been working hard to get my new screen printing workshop up and running at home.  So far so good, I've done one job so far, a wedding invitation commission which involved a run of double sided prints, two colours each side.

The new table is great, I've found it fine registering each colour layer and the vacuum bed which is powered by a hoover is very effective.  A big thankyou to my boyfriend Sam for making the table for me, and painstakingly drilling all those tiny holes..!

I've joined the local print workshop in Kendal in order to use the exposure unit, every other aspect of the print making process I will now be doing from home.

I'm looking forward to much more freedom to print on a regular basis, expect to see new Memo work much more often!!

Patterns!

New products! Pattern Notecards and Pattern Tags

Each set come packaged in a gift box, all fully screen printed in lots of colours as you can see.  This new stationery collection is inspired by mid century fabric patterns, so lots of colour and bold shapes.  The cards and tags match, all you need is a sheet of brown paper to make a fully coordinated set of gift wrap.

Both packs are available in my Etsy shop and Not on the High Street shop.  I'll be adding more products to the Patterns range as soon as my new screen printing workshop at home is up and running!
